Ireland's largest indoor padel venue opens this month in Dublin

West Wood Club Leopardstown will open Ireland's largest indoor padel facility at the end of August, with eight padel courts and two pickleball courts housed inside a new air dome on the Dublin 18 site.

The courts were built in partnership with MejorSet, the manufacturer that supplies the Premier Padel Tour. The layout comprises two exhibition courts, five panoramic courts without corner pillars and one singles court.

The opening comes as Openplay.ie publishes The State of Padel in Ireland 2026, which reports that Irish searches for "padel" rose from around 220 a month in January 2021 to about 5,200 a month in April 2026. Its national tracker now lists more than 120 locations live or announced across the island.

Operator Padel 100 raised five million euros in September 2025 to build 300 courts by the end of 2027 and is currently installing up to 12 courts a month. A six-court project worth two million euros is planned for Douglas in Cork by the end of 2026.
