World Padel League returns to Mumbai with 36 players

The fourth season of the World Padel League runs from 12 to 16 August at the Dome of the SVP Stadium in Mumbai, with the strongest field the competition has assembled: 36 players across six franchises, including three former world number ones, more than ten Premier Padel title winners and thirteen players inside the world top twenty.

The league was founded in the United Arab Emirates and moved to India in February 2025, where it is licensed and run by Iconik Sports and Events. Ties are decided over three sets, two contested by men's pairs and one by a women's pair, with total games won as the tiebreaker. Eleven matches are spread across a league phase and a final day.

The six teams are Vedanta Leopards, Khan Tigers, Panorama Panthers, Aussie Mavericks Jaguars, Game Changers Lions and VB Realty Cheetahs, drawing players from six countries. Paula Josemaria, Bea Gonzalez, Marta Ortega, Nieto and Sanz are among those competing.
