The FIP Senior World Cup opened in Buenos Aires on September 14, marking the tournament's fourth edition and the first time Argentina has hosted it. The event brings together 32 men's teams and 26 women's teams from around the world, competing across five age categories — 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+ and 60+ — in best-of-five matches. Group stages run through September 16, with knockout rounds following before the tournament wraps up on September 19.

Spain go into the event defending the women's title and chasing a fourth consecutive championship, while Argentina defend the men's crown on home soil. France, who finished third overall in 2024, return this year with their women's team — runners-up two years ago — drawn in a group alongside Germany and Paraguay.
