The world's top padel pairs have crossed continents — from Pretoria to London, where Olympia stages the first Premier Padel tournament ever played in the United Kingdom. The main draw runs Tuesday to Sunday, following the conclusion of the qualifying rounds.
The men's draw features 48 pairs, with the 16 seeded teams receiving first-round byes into the round of 32. Top seeds Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia open against the Deus brothers or a qualifier. Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan, back to winning ways in Pretoria after more than two months, are seeded second. Fourth seeds Franco Stupaczuk and Mike Yanguas return after missing South Africa, and Juan Lebron and Leo Augsburger play their last event before the summer break.
One quarter-final line already stands out: Fran Guerrero and Javi Leal, finalists in Pretoria, are seeded seventh and could meet Coello and Tapia at that stage.
The women's draw holds 28 pairs. Pretoria champions Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay are top seeds in the upper half, joined there by Ari Sanchez and Andrea Ustero, seeded third and back after skipping both Malaga and Pretoria. Claudia Fernandez and Martina Calvo — two points from the title in their first tournament together — landed in the bottom half, with a possible quarter-final against Paula Josemaria and Bea Gonzalez.
British interest runs through wild cards Aimee Gibson and Catherine Rose, who could face Fernandez and Calvo in the second round.
