Hexagon World Series pushed to 2027 with Madrid opener

The first official event of the Hexagon World Series will be the GENERALI Hexagon Cup Madrid, staged at the Caja Mágica from 21 to 24 January 2027. The announcement, made on 11 August, confirms that the new team circuit will open the international padel season rather than launching during 2026 as originally planned.

Hexagon World Series is the first professional team padel circuit governed by the International Padel Federation, developed as the global expansion of the Hexagon Cup, which has been held three times in Madrid since 2023. The organisers said the scale of building a circuit across several markets, together with work on the sporting, operational and commercial structure alongside 54, FIP and Premier Padel, led them to reshape the calendar and move the launch to January 2027.

Madrid will host for a second consecutive year with GENERALI returning as title sponsor. The 2027 edition drops from five competition days to four, with details of the sporting format still to be published. Further international destinations completing the 2027 calendar, along with teams and player line-ups, are due to be announced in the coming months.
