Alan Beesley

Alan Beesley is a qualified PadelMBA Instructor and accredited LTA coach with a background in tennis. He previously coached tennis in an LTA performance program for talented young players at Gosling in Welwyn Garden City. After playing padel in Spain many years ago, he eagerly anticipated the sport's arrival in the UK. With the first courts appearing in Hertfordshire in 2022, he immediately became hooked on the game. Frustrated by the traditional "do it like this" approach to tennis coaching, Alan believes that students progress faster and gain a deeper understanding of the game by comprehending the 'why' and 'how', which is often overlooked in typical coaching methods. In his professional experience training staff in a non-tennis-related business (and becoming his kids’ unintentional school-teacher during the COVID-19 lockdown!!), he likes to break challenges down and make them easy to understand. Understanding that many of us are visual learners, Alan incorporates video analysis into his coaching, utilising recordings and playbacks to illustrate what's working well and what needs improvement. By demonstrating examples of how professional players execute certain shots, he provides students with a clear reference for comparison and improvement.
