Best for advanced attackers who finish with overheads
Advanced and professional attacking players with consolidated technique who win points with the smash, the bandeja and the víbora, and who already play comfortably with a very head-heavy frame. It suits players who take the net early, accelerate their volleys and want maximum weight behind every overhead. It is not a racket for beginners or intermediate players, for defensive players who build points from the back, for anyone who relies on quick reactions at the net, or for players with elbow or shoulder problems. Within the same line, the XPLO Comfort uses a carbon and fiberglass face for a softer, more forgiving response.

Overview of the Bullpadel XPLO 02 2027
The Bullpadel XPLO 02 2027 is the second generation of the XPLO line and the signature racket of Martín Di Nenno. Bullpadel positions it as an offensive, maximum-power racket and rates it 5 out of 5 for power and 2.5 out of 5 for control and maneuverability. Against the previous XPLO, the faces move from 12K to 3K carbon, the balance rises from about 26.5 cm to 27 cm, the hitting surface shrinks from 535 cm² to 507 cm², and the frame gets a thicker hexagonal tube linking the handle, throat and head. The result is a head-heavy geometric diamond with a crisp, firm contact that becomes noticeably more explosive as swing speed rises.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Very high power on smashes, bandejas and víboras.
- More explosive than the previous XPLO at high swing speed.
- Controlled overheads despite the fast ball exit.
- Volleys gain depth and weight when accelerated.
- Very stable frame at full extension.
- Feel and balance adjustable with Ease Vibe and Custom Weight.
Cons
- 27 cm balance slows reactions in fast exchanges.
- Little extra pace on slow defensive balls.
- Edge contact loses efficiency quickly.
- Fast exit can send long víboras into the glass.
- Firm, crisp feel loads the arm.
Technologies & Materials
- Geometric Core — an internal structure with a double diagonal brace in the upper head and two reinforcements in the lower throat, built to limit twisting and bending on impact;
- Wave System — a frame design that lets the head flex and pass energy from the top of the racket, aimed at helping slower and defensive shots;
- Air Power — the second generation of Bullpadel's aerodynamic channel, with the lower side channel enlarged by 50 % to cut drag and raise swing speed;
- Geometric Shape — a frame widened toward the 2 and 10 o'clock positions to extend the sweet spot upward and add leverage;
- Carbon Tube — a frame made of 100 % bidirectional woven carbon;
- Hexature — a hexagonal frame section 3 mm thicker than standard, adding stability and resistance to torsion;
- X-Tend Carbon 3K — the carbon used for the faces, a 3K weave that replaces the 12K faces of the previous XPLO;
- MultiEVA — an EVA core built from foams of different densities: denser material for power on hard strikes, softer material to absorb impact on slower shots;
- Smart Holes — a drilling pattern designed for this mold that shapes face rigidity, ball exit and feel;
- 3D Grain — a raised surface texture matched to this mold to improve ball contact and help generate spin;
- Ease Vibe — spring-shaped dampers in four holes. Bullpadel states they absorb up to 49 % of impact vibration, and moving them adjusts balance and feel;
- Vibradrive — a high-elasticity elastomer along the handle that dampens vibration, especially on off-center hits;
- Hesacore — a honeycomb-pattern grip with an elastomer that filters vibration, improves hold and reduces sweat;
- Custom Weight — 3 g resin-finished carbon plates placed at key points to adjust weight and balance.
What Makes the Bullpadel XPLO 02 2027 Special
The XPLO combines a geometric shape with a very high balance. Geometric Shape widens the frame toward the 2 and 10 o'clock positions, so the upper corners stay usable on high contact, while the 27 cm balance concentrates mass where an overhead meets the ball. For 2027, a thicker hexagonal tube runs from the handle through the throat to the head, reducing energy lost to frame deformation. The 3K carbon faces give a crisper response than the previous 12K, and Air Power channels run straight through the throat to reduce the drag of the heavy head.

How it Feels on the Court
Defense
Defending with the XPLO takes work. On slow balls the face adds little pace, so a lob from the back glass needs a full, committed stroke to reach the far baseline. With time to prepare, lobs and chiquitas are precise. Long defensive rallies tire the forearm faster than with lighter, more balanced frames.
Important
Under pressure the head becomes the issue: a fast ball at the body requires early anticipation, and a late swing leaves the tip behind, which costs a clean contact.
Net Play
Blocks against fast balls behave predictably, with the same measured exit as the previous XPLO. The difference appears when the player accelerates: volleys gain weight and travel deep with little extra effort, which makes the net an attacking position. Quick exchanges at the body are the cost, because the 27 cm balance asks for more anticipation than before.
Bandeja & Víbora
Overheads are where the new version shows its character. The bandeja goes deep with speed and still feels controlled, and the head weight creates leverage when the tip is thrown forward, so a well-prepared víbora can be driven down aggressively. Off-center contact on these shots loses efficiency quickly. The 3D Grain texture helps the ball bite on sliced shots, but the cut still depends mainly on the swing path.
Advice
The extra pace at high swing speeds also means a long, loose motion can send the ball into the back glass, so the víbora needs a slightly more measured swing than on the 2026 model.
Smash
The racket's main strength. With a strong, clean strike, flat smashes leave the face very fast, por tres smashes are within reach, and kick smashes travel high and heavy. Contact in the upper part of the face still produces a fast exit, which lets the player use the full reach of the frame. The racket gives this pace only to decisive, well-timed swings.
Maneuverability
Once in motion, the swing travels quickly thanks to Air Power. The 27 cm balance still dominates in quick reactions at the net and in transitions from defense to attack, and the racket moves less freely than the previous XPLO.
Forgiveness
The sweet spot is in line with a medium-hard diamond and sits high on the face. It does not punish every small error, but contact toward the edges loses efficiency, and the stiffer 3K faces give slightly less margin than the 12K version. The widened upper frame helps on high contact.
Comfort
Ease Vibe, Vibradrive and Hesacore filter vibration on clean hits; repeated off-center contact still loads the forearm over long sessions.
Note
The touch is firm and crisp, with a loud contact.
Conclusion
The XPLO 02 2027 is built to turn overheads into finishing shots, and this generation does it with more explosiveness than before. A very high balance, a reinforced frame and crisp 3K faces give an advanced attacker heavy smashes, aggressive víboras and volleys that gain weight under acceleration, while the frame stays stable at full extension. The price is paid in defense, in fast exchanges at the net and on the arm. It suits a confident attacker with clean, decisive technique; players who need easy pace in defense or quick hands at the net will find it too demanding.
