KAVD Tennis & Padel

Kavd Padel has been in existence for 102 years and was originally a family-run tennis club. In 2017, the club decided to gradually replace tennis with padel. Following a dispute with the neighbours, the justice of the peace banned padel from being played at the Bakkerstraat site until the facilities have been adapted to prevent any further noise nuisance. However, tennis will still be permitted on one court during the summer season (from April 2025).

Kavd Padel bestaat reeds 102 jaar, en was oorspronkelijk een familiale tennisclub. In 2017 koos de club ervoor om het het tennis geleidelijk te vervangen door padel. Na een dispuut met de buren verbood de vrederechter om nog padel te spelen op de site aan de Bakkerstraat, en dit tot de infrastructuur wordt aangepast zodat er geen geluidsoverlast meer is. Er kan tijdens het zomerseizoen (vanaf april 2025) wel nog worden getennist op èèn terrein.
