A club with its own distinct character, this is the original Lasaigues venue in Saavedra. The courts are outdoors, so you play without a roof overhead, which really opens up the game in the air. The lighting for evening sessions works well; I had no complaints. They also organise tournaments and offer lessons for different levels, so there’s plenty going on beyond just court hire. The neighbourhood is quiet and there’s parking in the area. A good place to play padel in that part of the city.

I went to try out the lessons and was pleased with them. They offer both one-to-one and group sessions; you’re placed in a group according to your level, so you don’t end up on a court where everyone plays better than you. There are three well-maintained outdoor courts with surfaces in good condition. As they’re open-air courts, height isn’t an issue – you can play freely without any restrictions.

I’d been looking for a well-located place to play for a while, and Lasaigues El Abierto is the obvious choice: 3920 Galván, in Saavedra, right opposite Sarmiento Park and just a few blocks from the General Paz. Easy to get to. The courts are outdoors, which gives it a unique atmosphere, and the night-time lighting is very well done – visibility is perfect across the whole court. A great place to become a regular.
