Work Begins on Britain's First Floating Padel Courts in Liverpool

Work has begun on Britain's first floating padel destination, with construction starting in August at Princes Dock within the Liverpool Waters development, near the Pier Head. The venue, called Vibora Liverpool Waters, is being built by padel court specialist Gareth Evans alongside Lauren Fenton, Nicholas Sherratt and local businesswoman Clare Hughes, in partnership with waterside regeneration specialist Peel Waters

The build is expected to take around four weeks, with the first two floating courts targeted to open in mid-September 2026. A third court is planned to follow later in the year as part of a second phase

Alongside the courts, the site will include a waterfront clubhouse offering food and drink, a retail space with its own lifestyle apparel line, and a programme of community and wellness events, with pay-and-play sessions, corporate memberships and private court hire all on offer

The project follows the success of the nearby Wyld Sauna, Britain's first floating sauna, which the team say showed there was appetite for unusual waterfront attractions in the city. The floating padel concept was first announced back in September 2024
