Alejandro Galán and Federico Chingotto won the Madrid P1 title on home ground at the Movistar Arena, beating Mike Yanguas and Coki Nieto 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 in a final that lasted two hours and forty minutes. It was the pair's seventh title of the season and moved them closer to the world number one ranking, as Yanguas and Nieto had eliminated top seeds Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello in the quarterfinals.
