Allen Tompkins

Since moving to the Philadelphia area 3 years ago, Allen has been immersed in the racquet community, both as a player and as a coach. With a background competing at a high level and training alongside some of the area’s top players, he brings not only technical expertise but also a strong understanding of how to build a player’s game from the ground up. Whether it’s refining footwork, developing strategy, or sharpening racquet skills, he likes to focus on tailoring each lesson to meet the player where they are and help them take the next step in their game.

As a coach, he emphasizes fundamentals, discipline, and enjoyment of the sport — all key to long-term improvement. Allen has worked with players of different ages and abilities, from beginners picking up a racquet for the first time to experienced competitors looking to gain an edge. My goal is always to create an encouraging, productive environment where clients feel motivated to improve and excited to come back. Being based locally, he is deeply invested in growing the racquet sports community here in Philadelphia and looks forward to helping players of all levels reach their potential.
